These stunning, rare and unique vintage Gold-Plated hike clip-on earrings feature an intricate female silhouette carved into the reverse of the glass (intaglio design). This technique creates a beautiful 3D effect. The glass has a beautiful iridescent, "dichroic" coating that makes the cameo appear to change colors (blue, purple, yellow) depending on the light.
The gold-tone setting has delicate floral/leaf accents at the top and bottom.
This style is characteristic of the Victorian Revival period (circa 1950s-1970s), often attributed to brands like Whiting & Davis or marked "Made in Western Germany"
