40s US NAVY Deck Vest Alpaca USN Vintage USA

This is a 1940s U.S. Navy N-1 Alpaca Deck Vest.

It's a well-known classic. You can wear it as an outer layer like a down vest, or layer it like a gilet for a stylish look.

As you can see in the photos, there is some soiling, but the condition is good for its age.

There is no damage to the zipper ends, which is common in vintage items, and it operates smoothly.

I purchased it from a vintage clothing store in Osaka about 20 years ago, but I haven't worn it much.

Cotton poplin shell
Alpaca lining
Bell-shaped CONMAR zip

There is almost no oil staining on the shell, and the alpaca lining is fluffy and in good condition.
